Classes at CCPA officially begin at 8:45 am and the Building and the Commons officially open at 8:30. This semester has been a little bit different because we have had a special German class which has been starting at 7:30, however, that did not change our policy about the building and the Commons opening at 8:30. I realize that I haven't been very clear about that so I'll accept the responsibility for the miscommunication. It has been reported to me, however, that there are some students arriving much before 8:30. While I understand the challenges and convenience/inconvenience factors with which we all live, I must ask that students come as close to 8:30 as possible. Prior to that time we are setting up or cleaning up or organizing the Church building and rooms and there is no one available to monitor or oversee the students prior to 8:30. While we have had very few issues with the neighborhood surrounding Grace, I do want to be cautious about students arriving very early and being outside waiting around the building.
