Amy Peek, who received her B.A. from Southwestern University, has over 15 years experience teaching Spanish, including all levels preschool - adult. She taught in public and private schools before beginning to serve the homeschool community in 1994. She currently nurtures and homeschools her own 3 children, Dan (1989), James (1992) and Anna (2004). She is active in her church's education and music programs.

Carol Neil has a B.S. in Education from Abilene Christian University with certification in Secondary Math & Business. She has taught public school and in a small homeschool co-op and co-led a homeschool field trip co-op. Carol has been Homeschooling her 4 children for 14+ years with the successful completion of her two older children attending college. She also teaches Sunday School Bible calss as well as individual paino lessons. Carol, along with fellow teacher Jo Lindberg, has administered the ITBS test for the past 5 years to home schooled children.

Cindy Casper received her degree in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She used her degree in a clinical medical setting for ten years before beginning to homeschool her own children. For the past nine years she has taught science labs out of her home to her children and other homeschool students. Mrs. Casper is also the co-author of the KONOS History of the World III: Renaissance & Reformation. This curriculum covers the history of science, art, politics, and literature.

Jennifer Matlock has taught Latin for 6 years at a local private school. She holds degrees in both History and Classics from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied Medieval History, Latin, Greek and even a little German. She has a passion for teaching and explaining language and linguistics and loves to talk grammar. Jennifer is the proud owner of two very mischevious cats.

Jill Anderson has taught secondary English for 8 years in both public and private schools and is currently a Master's student in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Texas. Her writing workshop "Essay Writing for the College Bound" is designed to introduce high school students to the level of critical thinking and self-expression needed to excel at the college level. She is a home school mother of two.

Jo Lindberg has degrees in Math, Physics and Computer Science from Stephen F. Austin State University and the University of Southern California. She worked 11 years as a computer programmer/engineer until her son was born. Since then she has taught Math part time at Austin Community College for 7 years where she was nominated to Who’s Who for College Teachers. She has tutored students in different levels of Math from junior high through high school for the past 14+ years. Jo considers that she has home schooled her son since his birth. She has helped lead the middle school (3 years) and high school (2 years and counting) Math and Science teams for Austin Area Homeschoolers. Jo, along with fellow teacher Carol Neil, has administered the ITBS tests for the past 5 years to Homeschooled children.

Kathryn Hargis has been on staff with the Christian Choral Society for seven years. She has taught in all areas of CCSA and is dedicated to the mission of this fine organization. With both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music (with an emphasis in music education), Kathryn brings her expertise as a professional soloist and an educator to her position as artistic Director. She is currently a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Choral Directors Association, The American Choral Directors Association, The National Association of Teachers of Singing and the Choristers Guild.

Kim Stetson has a B.S. from the University of Texas College of Natural Science with an emphasis on Food Science and a Minor in Chemistry. She holds multiple teacher certifications, including Chemistry, Home Economics Education and Generalist (all core subjects) grades 4-8. She has taught both Home Economics and Science at the high school level. Mrs. Stetson and her husband John have 5 children who have been learning at home for 9 years now. Mrs. Stetson believes science should be exciting for all students since we learn best when we are having a good time. Her mission is to inspire her students to learn more about God’s wonderful creation through inquiry and experimentation, and lots of fun! Courses use Apologia curriculum with abundant supplemental labs and activities in an attempt to make science an integral part of the child’s every day life.

Marlene Yousef is a home school mom with 28 years of teaching experience. She received a B.A. degree in political science and history from Sam Houston State University and has done graduate work in theatre and speech. During her tenure in the public school system, she was actively involved in U.I.L. as one-act play director and speech coach. She is the administrator of Christian College Preparatory Academy, owner of Podium Power, a member of the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association, the Davidson Institute for Talent Development Educators Guild, Who's Who Among American High School Teachers, and the sponsor of Lambda Delta, the CCPA chapter of the National Home School Honor Society.

Mike Fizzell has over 30 years experience in public and private music instruction. He earned his bachelor's degree in violin performance from the University of Texas at Austin where he served off and on as concertmaster of the U. T. symphony orchestra. He played 9 years in the Austin Symphony first violin section and was the principle second violinist with the Austin Lyric Opera for its first 5 seasons. He founded and for 10 years directed the Christian Youth Orchestra of Central Texas. He currently freelances as a professional violinist in the central Texas region, teaches privately, and manages and performs with the Rose Strings. He and his wife Cindy home schooled their two sons through high school, and are currently home schooling their 6-year-old daughter.

Valerie Ryan has taught social dancing (ballroom, swing and country/western) full-time since 1988, and opened her own studio, QuickSilver Dancers in February of 1996. Over 2 dozen of her students have gone on to dance competitively, with 6 earning the title of National Champion and 5 earning the title of World Champion on the C&W dance circuit. Competition is not Valerie's main focus, however she is much more interested in seeing people blossom as they learn how much fun dancing can be, what good exercise it is, and how many new friends they will make as they continue to deepen their understanding of the artistry of dance. Ms. Ryan has a B.S. from Texas A&M University.

Wanda O’Connor holds a Ph D in Mathematics Education from the University of Texas at Austin. She has 20+ years in public and private high schools as well as 5 years in home school situations. In addition, she has taught mathematics at Austin Community College for 20 years and is currently teaching Statistics and Business Calculus at ACC. She also has taught children’s Bible classes. She will be teaching Precalculus and Calculus at CCPA.
